In
April
of
2021,
I
purchased
my
Spyder
and
new
adventures
began.
Coming
from
a
traditional
two
wheel
motorcycle
after
nearly
30
years
ryding,
medical
reasons
forced
me
to
make
changes
if
I
wanted
to
continue
to
ryde.
I
stepped
down
as
President
from
a
chapter
I
started
in
2009
since
it
was
brand
specific.
I
took
my
spyder
on
the
curvy
back-roads
of
Kentucky,
expecting
it
to
handle
much
like
my
motorcycle.
Not
even
close!
After
scaring
myself
several
times,
it
became
time
to
re-evaluate
this
new
3
wheel
adventure.
I
spent
many
days
out
on
those
curvy
roads and learned to enjoy every minute.
Once
I
was
comfortable
on
the
spyder,
I
started
looking
in
other
groups
for
folks
to
ride
with.
Where
I
met
Ron
Gordon
and
we
started
what
is
now
the
Bluegrass
Spyder
Ryders.
However,
Covid-19
was
still
restricting
us
from
having
meetings
in
2021,
we
were
strictly
an
online
group.
Eventually,
restrictions
were
lifted
and
the
planning
and
meetings
were
able
to
take
place.
It
was
a
slow
start
but
with
lots
of
interest,
However,
2022
came
with
many
plans
and
a
bright
future.
Creating
plans
for
the
group,
adding
Ryde
Captains
and
planning future routes.
I
can
truly
say
we
had
so
much
fun
on
our
rydes.
The
camaraderie
this
group
has
with
each
other
is
absolutely
amazing.
We
have
folks
from
100
miles
away,
people
from
all
walks
of
life,
including
the
medical
field,
teachers,
retired
veterans,
mechanics
and
it’s
just
absolutely
wonderful
to
see
everyone
come
together
and
enjoy
the
“Bluegrass
Spyder
Ryders”
group.
Our
chapter
is
part
of
a
501c
“Spyder
Ryders
org”.
We
look
forward
to
a
new
year
of
riding
and
we
have
some
overnight
trips
planned
along
with
our
7
Patch
Tour
of
WVA/VA.
We
hope
you
will
be
able
to
join
us
in
2026.
Remember
it’s not what you ryde, its that you do.
